Main Characters
Tessie Hutchinson:
Tessie is the women who arrived late to the lottery, because she had forgotten that it was the lottery already. She protested in the lottery and her family had already drawn on the piece of paper joining the lottery and Tessie said that it wasn't fair till later on she said it again and was being thrown by lots of stones so she was killed. She is the unlucky lady and also has participated on every lottery but she had gone to the lottery because she had forgotten what day it was. So when she found out that her family had joined and drawn on the lottery she had protested that it wasn't fair so she was stoned to death.
Old Man Warner:
Old Man Warner is the oldest man in town. He participated in seventy-seven lotteries and is still making it happen. He is the man who doesn't want the lottery to stop because of what he thinks that might happen. So he still makes the lottery happen exactly the way things have always been.
Mr. Summers:
Mr. Summers is a man who has control in the lottery. He made up the slips for people to draw on it and putting it into the black box. He held the lottery and is a married man and childless business owner.
